Approach

How do I Work?

I draw from several evidence-based approaches and integrate them based on your needs, goals, and readiness.

Integrative Treatment

Sessions may include reflective conversation, trauma processing, cognitive approaches, and body-based awareness — woven together depending on what is most helpful at a given time.

Trauma-Informed Care

Past experiences can shape how the mind and body respond to stress long after they've ended. Therapy focuses on understanding these patterns and gradually building greater calm, presence, and resilience — without moving faster than feels safe.

Somatic Awareness

Stress often shows up in the body — as tension, restlessness, fatigue, or a persistent sense of being on guard. Somatic approaches involve gently noticing these physical signals and learning to work with them. This might include attention to breath, posture, or internal sensations during sessions.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR is a structured, research-supported approach that helps the brain process distressing memories so they become less overwhelming over time. It can be particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, and intrusive experiences.

Why Mind and Body Both Matter

Emotional experiences aren’t held only in thoughts or memories. Stress responses often live in the body. Developing awareness of these physical signals — and learning to respond to them with greater care — supports regulation, resilience, and lasting change.
