About
Why Sana Sana?
Sana Sana comes from a traditional phrase, “Sana sana colita de rana, si no sanas hoy, sanarás mañana.” It is used across Spanish-speaking cultures when comforting someone who has been hurt. Spoken gently while tending to a small injury, it offers reassurance that healing will come—with care and with time.
The name reflects a belief that healing takes time. Therapy is not about rushing toward resolution, but about creating safety, curiosity, and patience so healing can unfold.
Sana Sana is an invitation to be met with care, dignity, and understanding—exactly what good therapy offers.

“(She, Ella)”
I am a trauma-informed therapist providing psychotherapy through telehealth. My work focuses on helping people understand how past experiences continue to shape emotional responses, relationships, and patterns of stress, while supporting the development of greater stability and self-awareness over time.
Our experiences are processed through the brain and nervous system and can show up in the body as patterns of stress, protection, or calm. Responses such as tension, hypervigilance, or emotional overwhelm are often adaptive ways of coping developed in response to earlier circumstances. Together, we work to understand these patterns with care and curiosity, and to support new ways of moving forward.
I have worked with diverse communities throughout my career, including immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, and survivors of interpersonal violence, in community health centers and public mental health settings. As an immigrant myself, I bring a lived understanding of how culture, migration, and identity shape emotional wellbeing. I approach each therapeutic relationship with cultural humility, curiosity, and care.
